1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AIFreePDF at aifreepdf.com (the "Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our website or services.

These terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses or uses the service. "We", "us", and "our" refer to AIFreePDF and its developer, Arvind Kumar Pandey.

2. Description of Service

AIFreePDF provides free, browser-based tools for processing PDF and image files. Our services include but are not limited to:

• PDF compression, merging, splitting, rotating, reordering, and password protection
• Image to PDF conversion and PDF to image conversion
• Image quality enhancement
• PDF editing and annotation
• AI-powered tools: PDF summarization, document chat, and OCR text extraction

All standard tools process files entirely within your browser. AI tools may send extracted text (not the file itself) to external AI APIs for processing.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use AIFreePDF only for lawful purposes. You must NOT use our service to:

• Process documents containing illegal content, including but not limited to child exploitation material, content that violates copyright law, or documents used to facilitate fraud
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or replicate our tools for commercial redistribution without permission
• Use automated scripts or bots to make large numbers of requests to our service
• Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the website
• Use the service in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our servers or networks
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely claim affiliation with AIFreePDF

We reserve the right to terminate access for users who violate these terms.

4. Intellectual Property

The AIFreePDF website, including its design, code, branding, tool names (SwiftMind™, DocuTalk™, TextLens™), blog content, and all other materials, is the intellectual property of Arvind Kumar Pandey unless otherwise noted.

• You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our website content without explicit written permission.
• Blog posts may be referenced with attribution and a link back to the original URL.
• Open-source libraries used in our tools (pdf.js, pdf-lib, Tesseract.js) retain their respective licenses.

The files you upload and process remain entirely your property. We make no claim over any documents, images, or content you process using AIFreePDF.

5. User Content & Privacy

Standard tools (compression, merging, splitting, etc.): Your files are processed entirely in your browser and never transmitted to any server. We have no access to your documents at any time.

AI tools (SwiftMind™, DocuTalk™, TextLens™ polish): The text extracted from your document may be sent to the Google Gemini API for AI processing. The file itself is never transmitted — only the extracted text. This text is used solely to generate a response and is not stored by AIFreePDF.

6. AI Tools — Additional Terms

When using our AI-powered features, you additionally agree that:

• You will not submit content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the terms of the underlying AI providers (Google Gemini API)
• AI-generated summaries, answers, and extracted text may contain errors and should not be relied upon as professional legal, medical, or financial advice
• You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any AI-generated output before acting on it
• The AI features are provided "as is" and may be unavailable at times due to API limits or service outages

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

We do not warrant that:

• The service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available
• The results obtained from using the service (compressed files, converted documents, AI summaries) will be accurate or meet your requirements
• Any errors in the service will be corrected

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AIFreePDF and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damage to documents resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.

Important for document safety: Always keep a backup copy of any document before processing it through any online tool, including AIFreePDF. While we take every care to ensure our tools work correctly, we cannot be responsible for unexpected data loss.

8. Third-Party Services

AIFreePDF uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own terms:

We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of these third-party services.

9. Availability & Modifications

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice
• Update these Terms and Conditions at any time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
• Add or remove tools, features, or AI capabilities without prior notice

The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes made.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
